Yoga affords us the opportunity to become more self-aware and to truly know ourselves as individuals. When we know ourselves well, we are able to see our connection to everyone around us. When we can experience all of humanity in ourselves, it is then that we begin to make our world a happier, safer and kinder place to live. I hope that you will join me each month in practicing Seva yoga, or the yoga of service. According to yogaactivist.com, " Taken as a whole, the word "seva" means "together with" and describes the actions that seek collective upliftment through the understanding of the needs of others and are based on togetherness and integration. It is an expression of compassion for others and a genuine desire to uplift those around you." Once a month, I will be teaching a 90 min open level vinyasa class with 100% of the proceeds going to support a local or global charity. I am thrilled to be able to use this yoga practice to join with you in creating lasting change in our communities!
